Mashed bottle caps with broken and sea worn bottle glass. You don't find these types of bottle caps as much anymore but they are still here and there to be found and they can be found almost anywhere. Most bottle caps like these from coke and beer bottles are found in many parking lots or just here and there on the streets. I became fascinated with the oldest ones because they have usually been flatened by car tires many times until they are very flat. They usually get a rusty pattina color which I think makes a great back ground piece of metal for smaller things I collect and glue on to them like broken and sea worn bottle glass, small sea worn stones and, even small pieces of broken and sea worn broken plate pottery. I collect enough of these bottle caps so that I can match two that are mashed into the same shape to make a pair of earrings. It's amazing the different interesting shapes they are mashed into. I clean the rusty bottle caps with soap and water, then dry them and then spray them with a clear acrylic coating so they are perfectly safe to wear..
