I collect all kinds of things from nature to make my earrings. I have collected my jewelry materials from beaches, gardens and wild nature, sometimes even old mashed bottle caps from parking lots and streets. I have to collect enough materials that have usually been broken and sea worn from pieces of shells, broken and sea worn bottle and pottery plates in order to find closely matched shapes to make a pair of earrings. Even no two mashed bottle caps are the same shape so I have to collect enough to be able to find two that are similar in shape to make a pair of earrings. The same thing goes for matching seed pods and leaves, I have to collect enough to be able to match two that are similar in shape and size. Again, I use copper wire to attach my pieces to stainless steel ear wires.
I am self teaching myself how to set up my website so that I can sell my art online. I have uploaded some of my earring photos and descriptions of some of them on this page but have yet to go through the process of setting up shopping carts, the ordering process that includes the programs for figuring out taxes, shipping and accepting credit card purchases. It is all available to use with this website company that I'm using and it's suppose to be easy but I haven't gotten to that point of trying yet. In the meantime, if you see a pair of earrings that you would like to buy either text me or phone me at 707 350-2116 and we can do an order over the phone. Right now I keep all my jewelry at my small gallery shop on Main Street in Upper Lake. If you live close by that would be another way in which to purchase them. I'm open Friday-Sunday 12-4 and or call me and I can meet you at other times during the week as I live five minutes away.
